Hammersmith has a direct line to Changó at The Amadeus — the Hammersmith & City line runs straight to Royal Oak without any changes. In about 25 minutes you can be on the dance floor enjoying 100% salsa music and a free Crossbody Salsa class from 8.15–9pm.
From Hammersmith station (Hammersmith & City line platforms), take the eastbound train to Royal Oak. It is about 6 stops with no changes. From Royal Oak, walk 8 minutes north along Porchester Road and up to Shirland Road. The Amadeus is at number 50.
With a single tube line connecting Hammersmith to Maida Vale, there is no excuse not to come out for salsa. Changó plays 100% salsa all night, the community is welcoming, and the spacious dance floor at The Amadeus is perfect for both crossbody and Cali-style dancers.
