Salsa in West London
Changó is West London’s home for nonstop
salsa – built by dancers, for dancers.
On Mondays, the night kicks off with a Cali Salsa class (7.15–8.15pm) and a Crossbody Salsa class (8.15–9.15pm), before social dancing takes over from 9–10.15pm — and on Mondays the social is completely free to attend. Our occasional Saturday parties run one class followed by social dancing. We play 100% salsa all night, mixing salsa dura, romántica, and a bit of merengue to keep the energy flowing.
Everyone. Whether you have been dancing for years or you are still finding your feet, our salsa social in London welcomes all levels. We see Crossbody and Cali-style dancers sharing the floor every event. Come solo or bring friends - our community is genuinely friendly, and you will never be short of a dance partner.
We host weekly Monday salsa classes (7.15–9.15pm) and a free social (9–10.15pm), plus occasional Saturday parties from August, at The Amadeus, 50 Shirland Rd, Maida Vale, West London, W9 2JA. The venue is a short walk from Warwick Avenue or Royal Oak station and has a spacious dance floor with a proper sound system built for live-feeling salsa nights.
We built Changó around one idea: music first, community always. The atmosphere is relaxed but energetic — think less nightclub, more house party with incredible salsa music. It is the kind of salsa social London has been missing.

Not at all! Our salsa social welcomes solo dancers - most people come on their own and find plenty of partners on the floor. The Changó community is friendly and inclusive.
We play 100% salsa all night - salsa dura, romántica, and some merengue. No other genres, just pure salsa from start to finish at every social.
Our salsa social attracts both Crossbody and Cali-style dancers. All styles are welcome on the floor though at Changó in West London.

The Monday salsa social (9–10.15pm) is completely free to attend — Mondays only. Our classes (7.15–9.15pm) are ticketed, and Saturday party prices vary by event — check our events section for current pricing and to book.
Comfortable clothing you can move in and smooth-soled shoes work best. Avoid trainers with sticky rubber soles — they make it hard to spin on the dance floor.
Absolutely! Every Monday we run a Crossbody Salsa class followed by a Cali Salsa class before the social dancing begins, so it's a great way to get started. Our Saturday parties include one class as part of the ticket price too.
