Changó is West London’s home for nonstop
salsa – built by dancers, for dancers.
When you walk into a Changó salsa social in London, the night kicks off with a free Crossbody Salsa class from 8.15–9pm (two levels included with entry) before the social dancing begins. We play 100% salsa all night, mixing salsa dura, romántica, and a bit of merengue to keep the energy flowing. Expect a lovely crowd, great floor, and the best music in London.
Everyone. Whether you have been dancing for years or you are still finding your feet, our salsa social in London welcomes all levels. We see Crossbody and Cali-style dancers sharing the floor every event. Come solo or bring friends - our community is genuinely friendly, and you will never be short of a dance partner.
We host our salsa socials bi-weekly on eitehr Fridays or Saturdays at The Amadeus, 50 Shirland Rd, Maida Vale, West London, W9 2JA. Doors open at 8 pm and the salsa music runs until late. The venue is a short walk from Warwick Avenue or Royal Oak station and has a spacious dance floor with a proper sound system built for live-feeling salsa nights.
We built Changó around one idea: music first, community always. The atmosphere is relaxed but energetic — think less nightclub, more house party with incredible salsa music. It is the kind of salsa social London has been missing.

Changó is brought to you by Cali Beat a salsa school based in Chiswick, W4. We teach courses in both Crossbody and Cali salsa. For more info click below.
Don’t just take our word for it — hear what our amazing community has to say.

Got questions? Here are the answers to the
things we get asked all the time.
Changó is a salsa social in West London dedicated to salsa social dancing at The Amadeus in Maida Vale, W9 2JA. We host events bi-weekly on either Fridays and Saturdays — great salsa music, a welcoming dance floor, and every entry includes a free Crossbody Salsa class from 8.15–9pm (two levels) to kick-start the social.
Not at all! Our salsa social welcomes solo dancers - most people come on their own and find plenty of partners on the floor. The Changó community is friendly and inclusive.
We play 100% salsa all night - salsa dura, romántica, and some merengue. No other genres, just pure salsa from start to finish at every social.
Our salsa social attracts both Crossbody and Cali-style dancers. All styles are welcome on the floor though at Changó in West London.

Comfortable clothing you can move in and smooth-soled shoes work best. Avoid trainers with sticky rubber soles — they make it hard to spin on the dance floor.
