Changó is West London's home for 100% salsa — just 5 minutes from Paddington.
If you are based in or around Paddington, Changó is your closest dedicated salsa social. The Amadeus in Maida Vale is just one Bakerloo line stop from Paddington station, or a lovely 15-minute canal walk through Little Venice. Every event includes a free Crossbody Salsa class from 8.15–9pm before the social dancing begins.
From Paddington mainline or Elizabeth line, head to the Bakerloo line platforms and take one stop north to Warwick Avenue. Turn left out of the station and walk 5 minutes along Warwick Avenue and Clifton Gardens to Shirland Road. The Amadeus is at number 50. Alternatively, walk along the canal towpath from Paddington Basin — it is flat, scenic, and takes about 15 minutes.
Changó plays 100% salsa all night — timba, salsa dura, romántica — with no genre mixing. The crowd is a welcoming mix of crossbody and Cali-style dancers, and the spacious wooden floor at The Amadeus is built for spinning. For Paddington residents, there is simply nowhere closer or better for a proper salsa night out.
