Salsa Social London

Salsa Fridays in London

Changó hosts London's best Friday night salsa social — nonstop music, a packed dance floor, and a community that welcomes everyone.

Friday night at Changó is where the weekend starts for London salsa dancers. Doors open at 8pm at The Amadeus in Maida Vale with a free Crossbody Salsa class from 8.15–9pm (two levels included with entry), then the social dancing kicks off with nonstop salsa — timba, salsa dura, romántica — all night long.

There is something special about kicking off the weekend on the dance floor. Our Friday salsa socials in London draw a mix of regulars and new faces, all looking to shake off the week with great music and great company. The energy builds throughout the night, and by the time the last song plays, you will already be planning your next visit.

Our Friday salsa nights in London attract dancers of all levels and styles. You will find crossbody dancers (On1 and On2), Cali-style salseros, and everything in between sharing the floor. Whether you have been dancing for a decade or discovered salsa last month, the Friday crowd at Changó is welcoming and inclusive — no partner required.

The Amadeus sits on Shirland Road in Maida Vale, West London, just a 5-minute walk from Warwick Avenue station. The venue has a spacious wooden dance floor with a proper sound system that makes the music feel live. It is the kind of space that was made for salsa — intimate enough to feel connected, big enough to really dance.

What sets our Friday salsa socials apart in London is the focus. No mixed-genre playlists, no filler tracks — just pure salsa from the first song to the last. Changó is run by dancers who understand what makes a great social night. The right music, the right floor, and the right people. That is why our Friday regulars keep coming back.

Amazing salsa classes led by great teachers. In only 4 weeks in level 1, my partner and I are now able to dance and twirl, really fast learning curve! Looking forward to carry on dancing in level 2 and learning new steps.
